Tuberous breast correction cost in Turkey 2026: why plans differ
Medical editor: Dr. Semih Yıldız, plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon (FEBOPRAS) · Last updated: October 2026
Tuberous breast correction in Turkey starts from €3,020. This is a surgical starting price; at Dr. Semih Yıldız's clinic the price is quoted individually for each case after he has reviewed your photos and medical history. There is no standard correction, and so no standard price: your own figure depends on which steps each breast needs, whether volume comes from an implant, your own fat, both or neither, whether a lift is added, and how many nights you spend in hospital.
Our page about tuberous breast correction in Istanbul describes the steps that can be combined. This guide looks at how those steps shape your plan and your price, so that you can read a quote with the right questions in mind.
The building blocks of a correction
Most corrections combine several of these steps, and the selection is what makes one plan differ from another:
Releasing the constricted base: the tight tissue is released and spread out so that the lower half can round out; this is at the heart of almost every correction.
Lowering the breast fold: needed when the fold sits high and the lower half is short.
Reducing the areola: for an enlarged, puffy areola, through an incision around its edge.
Adding volume: with an implant, fat transfer or both.
Adding a lift: when the breast also droops and the nipple needs to move higher.
Each extra step adds surgical work within the usual 2–3 hours. The starting price already includes a Motiva implant; fat transfer, a lift or a different type of implant are what change the price.
Implant, fat or both
An implant adds a predictable amount of volume in one operation and can even out a difference in size. It also brings considerations for the future, because an implant is not a lifetime device and will need check-ups and possibly an exchange one day. With an implant, a short scar in the breast fold is usually added, whereas fat transfer needs only a few small puncture marks.
Fat transfer uses your own fat, taken by liposuction from an area such as the abdomen or thighs. It needs enough fat to spare, and since not all of the transferred fat takes, a second session is sometimes planned. Combining both, with an implant for the main volume and fat to soften the edges, joins the two sets of steps in one operation. Which option suits you depends on your anatomy and the volume you want.
When each breast needs its own plan
Tuberous breasts are often uneven. One breast may be fine with a release and a smaller areola, while its partner also needs its fold moved down and more volume. A clear quote therefore describes the plan for each breast rather than a general procedure name. Some difference between the two sides usually remains even after a careful correction, which is worth knowing before you compare plans.
Hospital nights, recovery and travel
After the correction, women usually spend one night in hospital and around a week in Istanbul, which leaves room for a wound check before the flight. If fat is transferred, the area it was taken from is bruised and sore for a while as well, which is worth keeping in mind when you plan the trip home.
The surgical price covers the operation and anaesthesia, the hospital stay planned for it, standard pre-operative blood tests, your surgical bra, the medication you take home, and the check-ups and stitch removal in Istanbul. Extra hospital nights, and any further tests or care needed because of a pre-existing condition, are charged separately at the hospital's rates.
If you would rather have the practical side arranged, the full package price adds hotel accommodation, transfers between the airport, your hotel and the hospital, and accommodation for a companion. Flights are never included. Leave from work matters too: most people manage a desk job again after 1–2 weeks, while lifting work needs 4–6 weeks. If a fat top-up or another second stage is likely, remember that it means a second, shorter trip.
Planning for a possible second stage
One operation is enough for most women. When the constriction is severe or the breasts are very different, a second, smaller procedure may follow, usually several months after the first. If a second stage such as a fat top-up is likely from the start, your written plan should say so and state how it is priced.
An unplanned revision, for instance for remaining asymmetry or a recurring constriction (both recognised risks), is assessed individually. If Dr. Semih Yıldız considers a revision medically appropriate, he charges no additional surgeon's fee; the operating room, materials and any implant are charged at cost. Changes that come later with time and tissue ageing, such as a breast that sags again years afterwards, are treated as a new operation and charged as one.
If you have had breast surgery before
Some women have already had an augmentation that left the tuberous shape in place, for example a narrow lower half or a puffy areola over the implant. Correcting this can involve removing or exchanging the implant and treating the scar tissue around it, in addition to the usual steps, which makes the operation more complex. Send your operation notes and implant details with your photos, because they change both the plan and the price. Earlier breast procedures without an implant, such as a biopsy or an areola operation, belong in this information too.
What to send for a personal price
Three views are needed for the online assessment: your chest from the front, from the side and at an angle (oblique). The angled view shows the base of the breast, the fold and the areola better than a straight view. Add your medical history, any previous breast surgery and what you would like to change: a better shape, more size or mainly a smaller areola. Plans for pregnancy and breastfeeding are worth mentioning too.
Dr. Semih Yıldız reviews this information before you book, and you then receive a personalised plan with a written quotation. It should name the steps for each breast, the implant if one is used, the donor area for any fat transfer and whether a second stage is planned, and make clear whether the figure is the surgical price or the full package price. The correction plan is finalised in person before the operation.
The recovery timeline and the possible risks are explained on our page about correcting tuberous breasts.
Frequently asked questions
Can only the areola be corrected?
Sometimes. In mild forms where the puffy areola is the main concern, a smaller operation through the areola can be enough. If the base of the breast is also constricted, reducing the areola alone may leave the shape unchanged, and the areola can stretch again under the pressure of the tissue behind it. The examination shows which situation applies to you.
Will I know before surgery whether I need an implant?
In most cases, yes. Your photos and history show how constricted the breasts are, how much volume they lack and how different the two sides are, so the plan you receive before booking states whether an implant, fat transfer or neither is suggested. The plan is confirmed in person before surgery, and any change should be discussed with you before the operation.
Do my photos need to show my face?
No. Photos from the neck to the waist are enough. Stand straight with your arms by your sides in front of a plain background, in good, even light, and take front, side and oblique views without a bra. Clear photos make the online assessment more accurate and help when your progress is compared later.
If you would like to know which steps your breasts would need and what that would cost, send front, side and oblique photos for a free online assessment.
