Thigh Lift Cost in Turkey 2026: What Changes the Figure
Medical editor: Dr. Semih Yıldız, plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon (FEBOPRAS) · Last updated: October 2026
A thigh lift in Turkey starts from €2,470, and liposuction of the inner thighs is already part of that figure. This is a surgical starting price; at Dr. Semih Yıldız's clinic the price is quoted individually for each case after he has reviewed your photos and medical history. Where your own quotation lands depends above all on how far down the thigh your loose skin reaches, because that decides the technique and the size of the operation. Anything combined with it and the nights you spend in hospital count too.
The steps of the operation are described on our page about thigh lift surgery in Istanbul. Here, the focus is on the decisions that make one thigh lift plan differ from another, and on what a complete quotation looks like.
Groin crease only, or down towards the knee?
Two techniques are used, and your skin, not a preference, decides between them. A medial thigh lift tightens the upper inner thigh through an incision that lies in the groin crease. When the looseness extends further, a vertical thigh lift adds a line along the inner thigh, which allows skin to be taken down towards the knee.
The vertical technique removes more skin and leaves a longer wound to close, so it is the more extensive of the two operations, and since the price depends on the extent of the operation, this is the first point to settle. Either way, the operation is done under general anaesthesia and lasts about 2–3 hours. Your thighs are marked while you stand, since gravity then reveals where the loose skin ends. As Dr. Semih Yıldız judges the incision line and the amount of skin for each patient individually, the technique named in your quotation should match what your photos and the examination show.
Health factors that change the timing
Some findings shape the plan before any figure is final. Delayed wound healing is among the more common issues after a thigh lift, and smoking, diabetes and a higher body weight make it more likely. That is why you need to stay nicotine-free for at least 4 weeks before the operation and 4 weeks after it, blood sugar should be well controlled, and anyone still losing weight usually does better to wait until it is stable.
A previous blood clot, a clotting disorder or the use of blood thinners needs careful assessment, because blood clots are a recognised risk of this operation. Routine blood tests before surgery are part of every plan, and their results can occasionally move the date. If an existing condition calls for further tests or extra nights in hospital, these are charged separately at the hospital's rates.
About ten days in Istanbul, and what they include
A thigh lift asks for a little more time than many body procedures. Expect one night in hospital, about 10 days in Istanbul and around 2 weeks before you are back at a desk. The groin wound sets this pace: it lies in a warm, moving fold, its healing needs watching, and it is checked before you are cleared to fly.
Most of what these days require is already covered by the surgical price:
the operation, general anaesthesia and the hospital stay planned for it
standard pre-operative blood tests
the compression garment, worn for about 4–6 weeks
the medicines you take home
dressings, wound checks and stitch removal while you are in Istanbul
Once you are home, follow-up continues through photos and video calls. If you would rather not organise the practical side yourself, the full package price adds hotel accommodation, transfers between the airport, your hotel and the hospital, and accommodation for a companion. Flights are never included. Also plan for about 2 weeks off desk work, around 6 weeks before physical work and, ideally, someone with you for the first days.
Beyond the inner thighs
Liposuction of the inner thighs is part of every thigh lift. By reducing the fat that remains under the loose skin, it lets the skin be tightened evenly, so for the inner thighs it is not an add-on.
Fullness elsewhere is a different matter. The outer thighs, the hips and the area around the knees are separate areas of treatment, and each one lengthens the operation. If the main problem is fat and your skin is still firm, liposuction alone may be the more suitable operation; that is a different plan with a shorter recovery.
After major weight loss, the thighs are often treated in the same operation as other areas, for example the arms or the abdomen. One operation instead of two can mean one anaesthetic and one recovery, but it also means a longer operation, possibly more nights in hospital and a heavier recovery. Walking early matters after a thigh lift, and it is harder when another area is healing at the same time.
Whether to combine or stage is decided after assessment, and safety is the deciding factor. Looseness that wraps around the outer thighs and buttocks is a different pattern from inner-thigh looseness and belongs to a wider body contouring plan. If the areas are split, each stage is a separate operation with its own quotation.
Questions your quotation should answer
A thigh lift quotation is complete when it answers these questions in writing:
Which technique, medial or vertical, and why?
Is inner-thigh liposuction the only liposuction, or are other areas treated?
Which procedures, if any, are combined in the same operation?
How many nights in hospital are planned?
Is the figure the surgical price or the full package price?
Scar revisions are assessed individually. If a revision is judged medically appropriate, no additional surgeon's fee is charged; the operating room and materials are charged at cost. Changes that come later with time and tissue ageing, for example thigh skin that loosens again years after the operation, are treated as a new operation and charged as such.
A free online assessment is the way to Dr. Semih Yıldız’s personal price: send clear front and back photos of your thighs together with your medical history. The techniques and the recovery timeline are described in full on our thighplasty page.
Frequently asked questions
Can a thigh lift be combined with an arm lift?
Yes, for suitable patients after major weight loss this is a common combination, decided after assessment. It lengthens the operation, and the first days are harder: your thighs make walking slow, and your arms should not be used to push yourself up. Help at home matters more than with either operation alone, and staging remains an option.
Which anaesthesia is used for a thigh lift?
The operation takes place under general anaesthesia, lasts about 2–3 hours, and you then spend one night in hospital under observation. The anaesthesia, the hospital stay planned for the operation and the standard blood tests beforehand are all part of the surgical price. Only further tests or extra nights needed because of an existing medical condition are charged separately, at the hospital's rates.
Is it worth travelling with a companion after a thigh lift?
It helps. For the first days you walk slowly, sit only briefly and should not carry luggage, and getting in and out of a car or keeping the groin clean is easier with a hand. Most practical help is needed in those first days. With the full package price, accommodation for a companion is included; their flights, like yours, are not.
