Rhinoplasty Cost in Turkey 2026: What Shapes Your Price
Medical editor: Dr. Semih Yıldız, plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon (FEBOPRAS) · Last updated: October 2026
Rhinoplasty in Turkey starts from €2,470 for a first (primary) operation, from €1,830 for tip-only surgery (tip plasty), from €3,100 for revision rhinoplasty and from €3,490 for ethnic rhinoplasty. These are surgical starting prices; at Dr. Semih Yıldız's clinic, the price is quoted individually for each case once he has reviewed your photos and medical history. Your figure depends on which of these operations your nose needs and how complex it is, for example whether cartilage grafts or septal work are required, and on how many nights you stay in hospital.
Dr. Yıldız chooses the technique for your rhinoplasty in Istanbul only after reviewing your anatomy, skin thickness and goals, so any figure given before that review can only be an estimate. The sections below explain what makes the final figure higher or lower, what the price covers and what a written quotation should state before you book anything.
Four starting prices, four different operations
The four categories are not price levels for the same operation. Each one describes a different amount of surgical work.
Primary rhinoplasty
This is a first operation on a nose that has not been operated on before. It can reduce a hump, narrow the nasal bones, refine the tip and straighten a crooked nose, through an open, closed or preservation approach. It takes 2–4 hours under general anaesthesia, followed by one night in hospital, and most noses fall into this category.
Tip plasty
Nasal tip surgery changes only the lower part of the nose. A wide, round or drooping tip is reshaped with sutures or small grafts, while the bridge and the nasal bones stay as they are. Because less is changed, it has the lowest starting figure. It is the right choice only when the rest of the nose already suits your face: refining the tip below a clear hump can make the hump look more prominent in profile.
Revision rhinoplasty
A revision corrects the result of an earlier operation. Scar tissue, cartilage that was removed or weakened the first time and, in some cases, new breathing problems make it more demanding. Cartilage often has to be borrowed from the septum, the ear or a rib, and the planning is more detailed, which is why it starts higher and is always assessed separately.
Ethnic rhinoplasty
This term describes rhinoplasty that refines a nose while keeping the features that reflect a person's background. Depending on the nose, the skin may be thicker or the cartilage framework smaller, so the plan may involve building up support or height with grafts rather than only reducing. That structural work usually makes the operation more complex.
What moves the figure within a category
Two noses in the same category can need quite different operations. The final figure follows that complexity, and these are the main factors:
Cartilage grafts: the septum is usually the first source. When it is not enough, or was used in an earlier operation, cartilage may come from the ear or the rib, and a rib graft adds a small separate incision on the chest and more operating time.
Septal and turbinate work: straightening a deviated septum or reducing enlarged turbinates to improve breathing adds steps to the operation.
The extent of reshaping: a straight nose with a small hump needs fewer steps than a crooked nose with an uneven tip and a twisted septum.
Hospital nights: one night is standard after rhinoplasty. A longer stay, for example because of a pre-existing health condition, is charged separately at the hospital's rates.
The approach itself, open, closed or preservation, is chosen to suit your anatomy and the planned change. It is a surgical decision first, and you should be able to understand the reasons behind it.
Breathing and appearance in one operation
If your nose feels blocked, say so when you send your photos, and describe whether one side or both are affected. A deviated septum or enlarged turbinates can be corrected in the same operation as the reshaping (septorhinoplasty), so you have one anaesthetic, one recovery and one trip instead of two.
There is a second reason to plan both together. A nose that is made smaller without attention to its internal support can breathe worse afterwards, so leaving the airway out of the plan is a false economy. When breathing is part of the plan from the start, the steps involved are listed in the quotation from the beginning.
Why a real figure needs your photos and history
A reliable quotation rests on details that only an assessment shows:
Photos from the front, the side and at an angle show the size of a hump, the shape and support of the tip, any deviation and the thickness of your skin.
Your medical history shows earlier nasal surgery or injuries, breathing problems, allergies, medicines and smoking.
For a revision, the notes from your previous operation, if you can obtain them, show what was done and how much cartilage may be left.
Skin thickness deserves a special mention. Thick skin affects which tip changes are realistic and holds swelling for longer, so it shapes both the plan and the time you should allow before judging the result.
What the price covers
For rhinoplasty, the surgical price covers the medical side of your treatment in Istanbul:
the operation and the general anaesthesia
the hospital stay planned for your operation
the standard blood tests before surgery
the medicines you take home
check-ups, dressings and stitch removal in Istanbul, including splint removal around day 7
Extra tests that a pre-existing condition calls for are charged separately at the hospital's rates, in the same way as extra nights. If you would rather not organise the practical side yourself, there is also a full package price. It adds hotel accommodation, transfers between the airport, your hotel and the hospital, and accommodation for a companion. Flights are never included.
If a correction is needed after your operation
A correction after your rhinoplasty with Dr. Yıldız is assessed individually. If he considers a revision medically appropriate, he charges no additional surgeon's fee; operating-room and material costs are charged at cost. Changes that appear years later as the skin and cartilage age count as a new operation and are charged as one.
What your written quotation should state
Whichever option you choose, get the quotation in writing before booking flights, and check that it spells out:
the planned operation, including any septal or turbinate work and possible grafts
the type of anaesthesia and the number of hospital nights
whether the figure is the surgical price or the full package price
how follow-up continues at home, through photos and video calls
Reading the items matters as much as reading the total. Two quotations with similar totals can describe very different operations.
Getting your personal price
The route to a personal figure is a free online assessment. Send clear photos of your nose from the front, the side and at an angle, describe any breathing problems and list earlier operations or injuries. Before you book any flights, you then receive a personalised plan, an expected timeline for your recovery and a written quotation. The face-to-face consultation and the tests before surgery follow in Istanbul, where the plan is confirmed. If needed, a 3D simulation can be used during consultations to discuss the planned change; it is a planning aid, not a promise of the exact result.
For your time planning, arrive at least one day before surgery and plan about 7 days in Istanbul, so the splint can come off before you fly, and 1–2 weeks away from desk work. The techniques, the recovery and the risks are described in full on our rhinoplasty page.
Frequently asked questions
Is tip plasty enough if only my nasal tip bothers me?
It can be, if the rest of your nose suits your face. Tip plasty reshapes the lower part of the nose and leaves the bridge and the nasal bones unchanged. If you also have a hump or a crooked bridge, changing only the tip can leave the profile unbalanced. Photos from the side and at an angle usually show whether a tip-only operation is the right scale.
Can I get an exact price without sending photos?
Not a reliable one. The starting prices show where each category begins, but your personal figure depends on details such as skin thickness, the size of a hump, the shape of the tip, the septum and any previous surgery. Clear photos and your medical history are usually enough for a written quotation, and the face-to-face consultation before surgery confirms the plan.
Will correcting my breathing at the same time change the quotation?
Septal work is one of the factors that shape the price, so the quotation reflects it. If a deviated septum or enlarged turbinates turn out to cause your blockage, the extra steps are added to the plan and listed in writing. Doing both in one operation means a single anaesthetic and a single recovery period.
