A neck lift in Turkey starts from €2,470, and the three other neck operations start from €770 for double chin liposuction, €2,130 for platysmaplasty (tightening the neck muscle, sometimes called a double chin lift) and €3,700 for a face and neck lift. Four operations, four starting points
Double chin liposuction, from €770: fat under the chin is removed through a tiny incision. It suits people with good skin elasticity, whose skin can shrink onto the slimmer contour.
Platysmaplasty (sometimes called a double chin lift), from €2,130: the neck muscle is tightened through a small incision under the chin, which treats vertical bands and sharpens the angle between chin and neck.
Neck lift, from €2,470: where loose skin also needs treatment, it is lifted and removed through incisions around and behind the ears; your written quotation should state whether skin removal is part of your operation.
Face and neck lift, from €3,700: the neck lift is combined with a facelift, so that the jawline, the jowls and the neck are treated together.
Broadly, each step treats more than the one before, and the operation, the scars and the recovery grow with it. The right step for you depends on which layers have changed, not on which figure you would prefer.
Which step fits your neck
The examination looks at three layers of the neck and at the area just above them:
Skin: elastic enough to retract after fat removal, or loose and creased.
Fat: the fullness under the skin that liposuction can reach.
Muscle: whether the edges of the platysma muscle show as vertical bands.
Jawline: whether jowls interrupt its line, which brings the lower face into the plan.
Choosing a smaller step than your neck needs rarely pays off. Liposuction on loose skin can leave the neck looking emptier rather than tighter, and a neck lift under heavy jowls can make the jowls more noticeable. Either situation may lead to a second operation and a second trip, which is why the step is chosen from photos of your neck and confirmed at the examination.
The hospital night and the anaesthesia
A neck lift is performed under general anaesthesia and usually takes 2–3 hours. Most patients then stay one night in hospital for monitoring before moving to their hotel. This night has a medical purpose: bleeding under the skin (haematoma) is one of the main early risks after neck surgery and is most likely to appear in the first hours.
A face and neck lift follows the facelift timeline, with an operation that usually takes 3–5 hours and two nights in hospital. Double chin liposuction on its own is a smaller operation that can be done under local anaesthesia, and its starting price is based on that; general anaesthesia is also possible for it and is charged as an extra. Your written plan states which anaesthesia and which length of stay apply to your operation, so that your travel plans match it.
Planning the stay: about 7–10 days, or longer
You arrive at least one day before the operation: the first face-to-face visit takes place on the day you arrive, and the final consultation on the day of surgery. After a neck lift, the stitches are removed and the wound checks completed around day 7–10, so about 7–10 days in Istanbul is the usual plan. Most people return to work after about 2 weeks. A face and neck lift needs about 10 days in Istanbul and 2–3 weeks away from work.
Plan these points in advance:
flights, with the return booked after the final wound check
accommodation for the nights after hospital discharge, and for a companion if someone travels with you
help with meals and errands in the first days, when turning and bending the neck feel tight
time off work of about 2 weeks, or 2–3 weeks after a face and neck lift
loose, button-up tops and a soft scarf for the flight home
Flights are never included, so you book them yourself. The surgical price covers the medical side, set out in the last section below. Findings that can change the plan
Some details only come to light in your history or at the examination, and they can move you from one step to another:
previous fillers, threads or neck procedures, which change how the tissues behave
a weight that is still changing, since reaching a stable weight first usually gives a more predictable result
smoking or nicotine use, which has to stop at least 4 weeks before and after surgery because it reduces the blood supply to lifted skin
blood thinners, aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil and some herbal products, which may need to be paused

Reading your written quotation
A clear quotation names the operation in plain words, for example platysmaplasty with fat removal but no skin removal, or a neck lift with incisions around and behind the ears. The surgical price for that operation includes:
the operation and the anaesthesia
the hospital stay planned for your operation
standard pre-operative blood tests
the chin strap or neck garment, where your operation needs one
the medication you take home
the check-ups, dressings and stitch removal in Istanbul
Extra hospital nights, or tests needed because of a pre-existing condition, are not part of it and are charged separately at the hospital's rates. Follow-up after you return home continues remotely through photos and video calls.
Revisions are assessed individually. If Dr. Semih Yıldız considers a revision medically appropriate, he charges no additional surgeon's fee, while the operating room and materials are charged at cost. Changes that come later with time and tissue ageing, such as the neck skin loosening again years after surgery, are treated as a new operation and charged as one.

Frequently asked questions
Why does a face and neck lift start from a higher figure than a neck lift?
It is a larger operation. Besides the neck work, the facelift part repositions the deeper supporting layer of the lower face and cheeks to lift the jowls. It usually takes 3–5 hours rather than 2–3, the stay in Istanbul is about 10 days, and the final result takes 6–12 months to appear rather than 3–6.
Do previous fillers or threads in the neck affect the plan?
They can. Fillers, threads and earlier neck procedures change how the tissues behave and may leave scar tissue that affects which technique fits and how the operation is carried out. Tell the team what was done and when, and the name of the procedure if you know it, so it can be taken into account in your plan.
Can I have liposuction now and a neck lift later if my skin loosens?
Yes, double chin liposuction does not rule out a neck lift later. If your skin is already loose at the time of the assessment, however, liposuction alone may leave a result you are not happy with, and a second operation may then follow sooner than you expected. This is why the decision depends on your skin today as well as on the fat.
