Liposuction Cost in Turkey 2026: What Changes the Price
Medical editor: Dr. Semih Yıldız, plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon (FEBOPRAS) · Last updated: October 2026
Liposuction in Turkey starts from €1,400 for the first area and from €1,230 for each area you add, with Vaser as the standard technique; high-definition Vaser liposuction starts from €3,700. These are surgical prices, before travel and accommodation; at Dr. Semih Yıldız's clinic the price is quoted individually for each case after he has reviewed your photos and medical history in a free online assessment. Your quotation depends mainly on the number and size of the areas, any fat transfer or added procedure, and the length of your hospital stay.
All three are starting figures for liposuction in Istanbul. Two people who ask for the same area rarely need the same operation, and the sections below explain where the differences come from and what a written quotation should make clear.
Areas: how many and how large
The number of areas has the biggest effect on the figure. Many people want more than one: the abdomen and the lower back, for example, form one continuous contour around the waist, and slimming only one of them can make the other look fuller by comparison. Each additional area adds to the price, and it also adds operating time, which is why liposuction takes anywhere from 1 to 4 hours.
Size matters as well. A small pocket under the chin is a very different task from the whole abdomen of a tall person. In Dr. Semih Yıldız's quotations, the abdomen counts as one area together with the flanks, and the lower back, the upper back, the arms, the inner thighs and the outer thighs are examples of further areas. Other surgeons count differently, the abdomen for instance as two areas or each flank separately, so two quotations can only be compared when every area is named in writing.
When the full plan is too large for one safe operation, it is split into two sessions a few months apart. Each session is then an operation in its own right, with its own anaesthesia and hospital stay, so ask for the quotation to show both stages.
Technique: standard Vaser, high definition or Lipo 360
Vaser is the standard technique, so the starting prices above already refer to it: ultrasound from a fine probe softens the fat first, and it is then suctioned out through small incisions. The devices add nothing to the figure: Vaser or J-Plasma is used routinely during the operation and is included in the price. Two other options change the figure:
High-definition liposuction: a more detailed version of Vaser liposuction that shapes the abdomen, flanks and back along the outlines of the muscles underneath. The work takes more precision, it only makes sense when body fat is already low, and its prices start from €3,700.
Lipo 360: treats the trunk all the way round, typically the abdomen with the flanks and the lower back, sometimes the upper back as well. Because several areas are involved, the price follows the areas in your plan.
What you ask for and what suits your body are not always the same. If your skin is lax, or your body-fat level is too high for muscle lines to show, standard Vaser liposuction may give a more balanced result than high-definition work, and the quotation changes accordingly.
Fat transfer and combined operations
Fat taken out during liposuction can also be purified and reused in the same operation, in the buttocks, the breasts or the face. Transfer adds steps and time. A Brazilian butt lift is planned as a procedure of its own, with its own safety rules about where the fat may be placed.
In selected patients, liposuction is combined with a tummy tuck, a Brazilian butt lift or breast surgery. A combination changes the operating time, the recovery and the risk as well as the price, so it is decided only after assessment. Loose skin often changes the plan: an abdominal overhang or separated muscles cannot be corrected by removing fat, and a tummy tuck may then be needed instead of liposuction or alongside it.
Hospital stay, anaesthesia and aftercare
Depending on the extent of the plan, liposuction is done under general anaesthesia or sedation, and most patients are observed in hospital overnight before going on to their hotel. A longer or combined operation may call for more nights in hospital, and the length of the hospital stay is one of the factors the price depends on. Whatever the plan, the surgical price covers the operation, the anaesthesia, the hospital stay planned for it and the standard blood tests beforehand. An unplanned extra night, or extra tests needed because of a pre-existing condition, would be charged separately at the hospital's rates.
Aftercare is part of the same price: the compression garment you wear for roughly 4–6 weeks, the medication you take home, and the check-ups and stitch removal during your 5–7 days in Istanbul. Lymphatic drainage massage can be arranged while you are there, but it is not one of these items, so ask about it separately if you would like it.
The final contour can only be judged after 3–6 months. If a touch-up then seems necessary, it is assessed individually: when your surgeon considers it medically appropriate, there is no additional fee for his work, and the operating room and materials are charged at cost. Changes that appear years later with time and the ageing of the skin and tissues are a different matter; they are treated as a new operation and charged as such.
What a written quotation should state
A clear quotation shows exactly what the figure covers. Check that it lists:
Every treatment area by name, and the technique for each
Fat transfer or a combined procedure, if planned
The type of anaesthesia and the number of hospital nights
Whether the figure is the surgical price or the full package price
Follow-up once you are back home
What would change the price, such as an extra area agreed at the consultation
Besides the surgical price, a full package price is also available on request. It covers everything in the surgical price and adds hotel accommodation, transfers between the airport, hotel and hospital, and accommodation for a companion. Flights are not included in either price.
Why a personal price needs your photos
The figures above are starting prices; yours depends on what the assessment shows. Clear front, side and back photos reveal how your fat is distributed, whether there is loose skin, and whether the belly is soft and pinchable or tight because much of its fat sits inside the abdomen, out of reach of liposuction. Your medical history shows whether anything, from blood-thinning medicines to a previous blood clot, calls for a smaller plan or two shorter operations.
Dr. Semih Yıldız reviews your photos, history and goals before recommending the areas, and you receive a personalised plan and a written quotation before booking. Before surgery, pre-operative tests and a face-to-face consultation in Istanbul confirm the plan. The techniques and the recovery timeline are explained on our Vaser liposuction page.
Frequently asked questions
Is liposuction priced per area or per operation?
The starting prices are set per area: Dr. Semih Yıldız's surgical price for Vaser liposuction starts at €1,400 for the first area and at €1,230 for each additional one. Your own quotation is based on the number and size of the areas in your plan, plus any high-definition sculpting, fat transfer or combined procedure. In our quotations the abdomen and flanks count as one area, and the lower back, upper back, arms, inner thighs and outer thighs as separate ones; because surgeons define areas differently, check that each one is named in writing.
Can the price change after I arrive in Istanbul?
The quotation is based on your photos and medical history, and the pre-operative tests and face-to-face consultation confirm the plan before surgery. If the examination shows something the photos could not, such as looser skin than expected, or if you ask for an extra area, the plan is discussed with you again before the operation. If you need a night in hospital beyond the plan, or tests because of a pre-existing condition, these are billed separately at the hospital's rates.
Why does high-definition liposuction start at a higher price?
High-definition liposuction is a more detailed form of Vaser liposuction that shapes the abdomen, flanks and back along the outlines of the muscles for a more athletic look. The work takes more time and precision than standard contouring. It is meant for people with a low body-fat percentage; whether you are one of them is decided from your photos and examination.
If you would like a personal price for your own areas, you can send clear front, side and back photos for a free online assessment and receive a written quotation.
