Facelift Cost in Turkey 2026: What Decides Your Price
Medical editor: Dr. Semih Yıldız, plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon (FEBOPRAS) · Last updated: October 2026
A facelift in Turkey starts from €1,790 for a mini facelift and €3,700 for a face and neck lift. These are surgical starting prices; at Dr. Semih Yıldız's clinic the price is quoted individually for each case after he has reviewed your photos and medical history. Where your own figure lands depends on how much of the face and neck needs treatment, which technique suits your anatomy, whether other procedures are added and how long you stay in hospital.
Both starting figures come from our facelift in Istanbul page. They mark the simplest version of each operation rather than an average, so it helps to know what moves a quotation above them, and why two people asking about “a facelift” can receive quite different plans.
Two starting points, and the space between them
The two figures describe two different operations. A mini facelift treats early, limited sagging of the lower face through a shorter incision, and the recovery is shorter. It can be done under local anaesthesia, which is what its starting price assumes; if general anaesthesia is chosen instead, it is charged in addition. A face and neck lift treats the jowls, the jawline and the neck in one operation, with incisions around and behind the ears and usually a small incision under the chin.
The neck often decides which of the two applies to you. If your main concern is a softening jawline and your neck is still firm, a mini facelift may be enough. If the skin under the chin is loose, or vertical bands appear when you tense your neck, a mini facelift cannot reach those changes, and the plan moves towards a facelift combined with a neck lift.
What raises a quotation above the starting figure
Three factors shape the price: the technique, any procedures combined with the facelift and the length of your hospital stay. Each of them follows from what your face needs, not from a list of optional extras. Previous facial treatments matter as well, because they shape the plan.
How deep the lift goes
Beyond the mini facelift, two techniques are used. In a SMAS facelift the deeper muscular layer is tightened and repositioned together with the skin. In a deep plane facelift the tissues are released beneath that layer and lifted as one unit, which suits more advanced ageing of the midface and jawline. The €3,700 starting price for a face and neck lift is based on this deep plane technique. Which one you need depends on your skin laxity, facial volume, neck anatomy and earlier treatments, so check that your quotation names the technique it is based on.
Procedures added to the same operation
A facelift is often combined with eyelid surgery, a brow or temporal lift, or fat transfer to restore lost volume. Each addition lengthens an operation that already takes 3–5 hours under general anaesthesia, and each should appear as a separate item in the quotation. Combining spares you a second recovery and a second trip, but more is not automatically better: whether to combine is decided after the assessment, and some additions are wiser as a later, separate step.
Nights in hospital
After a facelift you stay two nights in hospital for monitoring before moving to your hotel. If a longer combined operation calls for closer observation, a further night may be planned from the start, and the hospital stay is one of the factors your price is based on. Extra nights or tests that become necessary because of a pre-existing condition are charged separately, at the hospital's rates.
Earlier facial surgery, threads or fillers
A second facelift, or a face that has had thread lifts or repeated fillers, needs more careful planning, because scar tissue and earlier changes have to be worked around. This is one reason previous treatments are reviewed carefully before the technique is chosen.
Why your price needs photos and a medical history
A starting price can be read from a page; your own price cannot, because the plan behind it depends on details that only an assessment shows. For the online assessment you send clear front, side and oblique photos of your face and neck. They show how loose the skin is, where the sagging sits and how much volume has been lost, which points towards a mini, SMAS or deep plane facelift and shows whether the neck needs treatment.
Your medical history matters just as much. Blood pressure, blood-thinning medicines, smoking and earlier fillers, threads or facial surgery can change the technique, the length of the hospital stay or the timing of the operation. Uncontrolled blood pressure, for example, has to be treated before a facelift can safely go ahead. A figure given without this information can only ever be a starting point.
When choosing by price works against you
It is tempting to pick the smaller operation to keep the figure down. When your face needs more, that choice tends to cost more later:
a mini facelift for a loose neck improves the jawline but leaves the neck as it was, and a second operation often follows sooner
a lift without fat transfer cannot fill hollow cheeks or temples, so a face that has lost volume may end up looking tighter rather than fresher
packing several procedures into one long operation to save a trip lengthens the anaesthetic, a decision that should rest on safety alone
cutting the stay in Istanbul short can mean flying before the stitches are out and the wounds have been checked around day 7–10
What the written quotation should make clear
A quotation is easier to compare, and to trust, when it states the plan behind the number:
the technique and the areas treated: the lower face only, or face and neck
every combined procedure, listed separately
the type of anaesthesia and the planned hospital stay
what happens if the face-to-face examination before surgery changes the plan
Photos cannot show everything, which is why the last point matters. Ask in advance how a change of plan would be handled, so that nothing about the figure surprises you once you are in Istanbul.
The care around the operation, by contrast, does not need to be checked item by item. At Dr. Semih Yıldız's clinic the surgical price covers the operation and anaesthesia, the hospital stay planned for it, the standard pre-operative blood tests, the dressings and a compression garment if your plan includes one, the medication you take home, and the check-ups and stitch removal in Istanbul. Once you are home, follow-up continues remotely through photos and video calls.
The rest of the trip, and revisions
Your overall budget also includes about 10 days in Istanbul, flights for you and perhaps a companion, and 2–3 weeks away from work. The surgical price does not include a hotel. If you would rather not organise the stay on your own, the full package price adds hotel accommodation, transfers between the airport, hotel and hospital, and accommodation for a companion. Flights are not included in either price, so you book those yourself.
The need for revision surgery is a listed risk of any facelift, for example to improve a scar or a small asymmetry. Such corrections are usually considered only once the result has settled after 6–12 months, and each case is assessed individually. If Dr. Semih Yıldız considers a revision medically appropriate, he charges no additional surgeon's fee; the operating room and materials are charged at cost. Changes that come later with time and tissue ageing, such as the jawline or neck loosening again years after the lift, are different: they are treated as a new operation and charged as one. Bear in mind, too, that a revision means another trip to Istanbul.
How to get your personal price
Send front, side and oblique photos of your face and neck, with your medical history, your medicines and any previous treatments, for a free online assessment. A personalised plan and a written quotation follow before you book anything. In Istanbul, Dr. Semih Yıldız sees you face to face after the pre-operative tests; the plan is confirmed and the incision lines are marked before the operation. The techniques, recovery milestones and combined options are described in detail on our facelift page.
Frequently asked questions
Why does a face and neck lift start at a higher price than a mini facelift?
Because it is a larger operation. A face and neck lift treats the jowls, the jawline and the neck together, with incisions around and behind the ears and usually a small incision under the chin to tighten the neck muscles. It takes longer and is done under general anaesthesia, while a mini facelift treats early, limited sagging of the lower face through a shorter incision and can be done under local anaesthesia.
Can I get an exact price without sending photos?
Not reliably. The two starting figures show where the surgical price begins, but your own price depends on the technique your face needs, the state of your neck, any combined procedures and your health. Clear front, side and oblique photos, together with your medical history, allow a personal plan and a written quotation through a free online assessment.
Does adding eyelid surgery or fat transfer change the price?
Yes. Combined procedures are one of the factors the price depends on, because each adds operating time and its own aftercare. Combining can spare you a separate recovery and trip later, but it is advised only when the assessment shows it would help and the overall length of the operation stays reasonable.
To see where your own plan sits between these starting figures, you can send front, side and oblique photos of your face and neck for a free online assessment and a written quotation.
