Brow Lift Cost in Turkey 2026: What the Technique Changes

A brow lift in Turkey starts from €940 with the direct technique and from €1,870 for the temporal (lateral) brow lift, often called a temporal lift, which raises only the outer part of the brow. These are surgical starting prices; at Dr. Semih Yıldız's clinic the price is quoted individually for each case after he has reviewed your photos and medical history. An incision just above the brow and small incisions in the temple hair mean two different operations, and that difference moves the price more than anything else.

At the clinic, these two techniques are the options for a brow lift in Istanbul; the endoscopic brow lift, performed through incisions behind the hairline, is not offered. Because the technique shapes so much of the plan, it is worth knowing what each one involves, and what the price covers, before you compare any numbers.

Two techniques, two different operations

The technique is chosen according to your anatomy, and each one changes the operation itself:

  • Direct brow lift: a strip of skin is removed just above the eyebrow, which allows precise correction of brow height and asymmetry. It works on the brow itself rather than the forehead, and the scar runs along the upper edge of the brow, so it suits people with thick brows that can hide it.

  • Temporal (lateral) brow lift: the outer part of the brow is lifted through small incisions hidden in the temple hair. It treats heaviness that sits mainly at the outer corners of the eyes.

Both usually take 1–2 hours under local anaesthesia with sedation or general anaesthesia, and most patients return to their hotel on the same day.

Choosing by anatomy rather than by the starting figure

The starting figures differ because they describe operations that solve different problems. Choosing a technique for its lower figure can lead to the wrong result: a direct brow lift in someone with thin, light brows leaves a scar that is hard to hide, and a temporal lift cannot raise a brow that has also dropped towards the middle. In the other direction, when only the tail of the brow has dropped, a temporal lift through the temple hair may be all it needs, without a scar on the brow itself.

Your hairline matters as well. The temporal incisions rely on the hair around them for cover, so thin hair at the temples or a receding hairline in men can make them harder to hide; with thick brows, a direct lift may then be the better fit.

When eyelid surgery is part of the plan

Adding eyelid surgery to the same operation changes the figure too. The combination makes sense when the brow has dropped and there is also true excess skin on the upper eyelids. When both are done together, the brow is usually addressed first, so that the amount of eyelid skin to remove can be judged with the brow already in its new position.

A combined operation means one anaesthesia, one recovery and one stay. Recovery then follows the brow lift timeline, with the stitches removed around day 7. The eyelid side of such a plan is described on the blepharoplasty page.

Other details that shape your quotation

  • Anaesthesia: this depends on the technique, the extent of surgery and your health. A direct brow lift can be performed under local anaesthesia, and its starting price is based on that; general anaesthesia is charged in addition.

  • Previous treatments: earlier Botox, thread lifts or forehead procedures can change where the brow sits and how the tissues behave, so they are taken into account.

  • Asymmetry: brows at different heights need side-by-side planning, and the direct technique allows particularly precise correction.

  • Revision: over-correction, under-correction and asymmetry are listed among the possible risks. A revision is assessed individually: if Dr. Semih Yıldız considers it medically appropriate, he charges no additional surgeon's fee, while operating-room and material costs are charged at cost. A brow that drops again years later as the tissues age is a different matter, and its correction is treated and charged as a new operation.

The week in Istanbul and what the price covers

A brow lift on its own usually needs no hospital night, because most patients go to their hotel on the day of surgery. The stitches are removed around day 7, which is why about 7 days in Istanbul is the usual plan, and most people return to desk work after about a week.

The surgical price covers the medical side of that week:

  • the operation and the anaesthesia planned for it

  • any hospital stay planned for your operation

  • standard pre-operative blood tests

  • medication to take home for the first days

  • the check-ups, dressings and stitch removal in Istanbul

Additional tests or a hospital night needed because of a pre-existing condition are not part of it and are charged separately at the hospital's rates. If you would rather have the trip organised for you, the full package price adds hotel accommodation for your stay, transfers between the airport, hotel and hospital, and accommodation for a companion. Flights are never included, so book your return for after the stitch removal. Once you are home, follow-up continues by photos and video calls.

What to send for a personal figure

An accurate figure depends on seeing your brows at rest. Send clear front and side photos of your face with your forehead relaxed, because many people raise their brows without noticing, and a raised brow hides the real starting point. A photo from ten or fifteen years ago can also show where your brows used to sit.

Add your medical history, your medicines and supplements, and any previous Botox, threads or forehead procedures. You then receive a personalised plan and a written quotation with clear package details before booking. On the day of surgery, after pre-operative tests and a face-to-face consultation with Dr. Semih Yıldız, the new brow position is marked while you sit upright. Techniques, recovery and risks are set out on our brow lift page.

Frequently asked questions

Does general anaesthesia change the price of a direct brow lift?

Yes. A direct brow lift can be performed under local anaesthesia, and its starting price is based on that. If you prefer general anaesthesia, or the extent of the surgery calls for it, it is charged in addition and shown in your written quotation. Which option suits you depends on the plan and your health, and it is agreed with you before the day of surgery.

Does a brow lift need a hospital stay?

Usually not. After a brow lift on its own, most patients go to their hotel on the day of surgery. A hospital stay is usually planned only when the brow lift is combined with an operation that requires one, such as a facelift, which means two nights in hospital and also lengthens the stay in Istanbul.

Can I have a brow lift now and eyelid surgery later?

Yes, the two can be done at different times, and for some people the brow lift alone removes enough of the heaviness. When a low brow and excess eyelid skin are both present, one combined operation means one anaesthesia, one recovery and one trip, and the eyelid skin can be judged with the brow already in its new position.
